Happy to be shooting with an old used camera. When you stop caring about what might happen to your camera and lens you sure are more free to concentrate on just taking the images.
Thinking of painting my camera and lens beige so it ultimately becomes to boring to even think about...
Either you found the perfect time on the perfect day for your stroll -- or the D7000 and you are a perfect couple. Maybe it's an illusion, but in the right hands that sucker is sharp!
I still prefer the Olympus color rendering, but matching 16MP against 16MP the Nikon appears to have an edge in acuity. Or is this one of my delusional days?
HI MM. That combo (50mm 1.8G+D7000) when used at optimum aperture (5.6) is sharp! Wildly sharp. I turned down the default sharpening after I got back to the studio...
My D7000 has been sharp from the moment I took it out of the box. Fitted with the battery grip it is just about the smallest camera I can comfortably use and has been the source of great satisfaction and excellent images as well. I have a 1.8 50mm and an f4 200mm, both manual focus and mighty old, that are remarkable performers on that camera. Now to save my two-bitses for an 85mm 1.8.
Your posts come across much better when they are accompanied by a story. You can Google building in Austin Texas and see plenty of photos, but what do the photos really mean to you?
Ray. Sorry about the captcha. If you could hunt down all the flamers and scammers and spammer for me and neutralize their impact on my time I'll do away with it in a heartbeat.
Sometimes I don't have a story but I want to post the images. I was amazed at how good the four year old tech of the camera was. But I should not have been.
I'll try to write more interesting things....after work.
Seattle is that same way. So many new buildings going up and changing the skyline. Sometimes for the good but more often nowadays some historic views are disappearing. Especially of Seattle's main downtown attraction the Space Needle. Oh well. As they say, that's progress. I am trying to capture some of my favorite views before they disappear.
